about

Alphonse Hasselmans (1845 – 1912) played a major role in the revival of interest in harp-playing towards the end of the nineteenth century.
Hasselmans composed several dozen original solos for harp, of which his most famous is a concert étude entitled La Source (The Wellspring), Op. 44.

His composition as charming salon piece added greatly to the harp’s repertoire.
